Meet Konjo ethnic group that were known as Phinisi master builders. Phinisi construction tradition has been passed down from generation to generation. These enormous ships are made from Walenreng wood and involving many rituals during its construction. Phinisi has been sailing along Southeast Asian archipelago since 14th century and still sailing until today. Beside famous with the Phinisi master builders, Bira is also well known for the powdery white sand beach, blue turquoise water. Visiting Bira won’t be complete without enjoying the beautiful underwater life in Liukang island.
DAY 1
Departure Makassar – Bira
On arrival at Sultan Hasanuddin airport, you will be met by your English speaking driver for your private transfer to Tanjung Bira, Bulukumba. The trip to Tanjung Bira is around 5 hours with some stops on the way. Arrive at the hotel.
DAY 2
Tanjung Bira Tour
After breakfast we will visit Liukang island with a chartered boat for snorkeling. After lunch at the local restaurant on the island, we will head back to the accomodation then leisure time.
DAY 3
Tanjung Bira – Makassar
After breakfast and check out, we go back to Makassar with a stop in boat making village.
